IBPS has completed the allotments for PO, Clerk & Specialist officer recruitment in public sector banks. It was part of the CWE VI selection process for which the exams & interview were held in the year 2016 - 2017.
Now the allotment process has been started by the banks. Few of the banks have already issued the joining dates and documents required at the time joining. As you know that, it is only a provisional allotment means it is subject to fulfillment of the criteria of the bank that you are allotted.
The common query which most students are raising is about joining documents checklist for joining in various banks. So, here is the documents & certificates checklist required at the time of joining which will be verified by bank officials.
Here is the list of documents checklist that most banks need you to submit in original & photocopy (xerox). The originals shall be returned after verification.
ID Proof:
Aadhar card/ Driver’s License, Voter's ID/ Passport etc
Note: Those who do not have Aadhar card are required to apply for it immediately as banks need it to open savings account/ salary account nowadays.PAN Card:

Copy of PAN Card or copy of challan receipt/online generated receipt issued by the concerned authority of having applied for issuance of PAN Card.
Educational Qualifications:
- Std. X & XII marksheets, Semester-wise & consolidated marksheets of degree (UG & PG), Degree final certificate etc.
- The date of passing the degree exam mentioned on degree marksheet or provisional certificate will be considered to check your eligibility condition.
Computer literacy certificate:
This is required only for clerical positions.
Candidate should have studied computer science or IT as a subject in high school/ college OR
Must have completed any course in computer operations/ language from an institute.
If a person has studied computers as a subject in school or college, it should be highlighted in the respective marksheet.

Date of Birth proof:
Mostly officials match the birth date in ID proof with the date in marksheets.Two passport size photographs:
similar to that pasted on the application form submitted by you.
Character certificate:
Two character certificates, either from a Gazetted Officer or from an Officer in a Nationalized bank not below the rank of Asstt. General Manager not related to you.

Category/ Caste certificates:
OBC/ SC/ ST candidates must submit their caste certificate issued by appropriate authority (as per central govt format).
Those belonging to OBC category (non creamy layer) – certificate must specifically contain a clause that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer section.
It should have been issued within one year from the date of exam notification (refer date of ibps advertisement)
PWD candidates: Disability certificate in proper format issued by district medical board should be submitted.
Ex-Servicemen: Discharge letter along with pension payment order & proof of last held rank to be produced.
So these were the main documents which are required at the time of joining but there are few other documents as well which may also be required. The Bank will soon release the joining dates and will mail the selected candidates about the pre-joining formalities.

Relieving letter from previous Employer:
If you are presently in the service of the govt. or Public Sector Undertaking/Corporation of similar nature, you will have to resign from your present employment and submit a satisfactory discharge certificate at the time of joining the Bank. In no circumstances, the Bank shall allow you to retain the present employment.
IBPS online application:
Take a print of IBPS PO/ Clerk/ SO exam application form.

- Please note that the banks have final authority to take the decision on the candidature of any candidate if there is any shortcoming or problem in the documents. Therefore please take utmost care for your joining documents and prepare a checklist of all your documents.
